Thermal Condition and Air Quality Investigation in Commercial Airliner Cabins

Cabin air quality and thermal conditions have a direct impact on passenger flight crew’s health comfort. In this study, in-cabin environment particulate matter (PM) exposures were investigated in four China domestic flights. The mean standard deviation of the carbon dioxide (CO2) concentrations two tested flights are 1440 ± 111 ppm. measured maximum monoxide (CO) concentration is 1.2 ppm, which under US Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) permissible exposure limit 10 relative humidity ranges from 13.8% to 67.0% with an average 31.7%. cabin pressure change rates at end climbing stages beginning descending close hPa·min?1, might induce uncomfortable feeling passengers crew members. PM mass results show that decreased after aircraft door closed affected by severe turbulences. highest observed oldest age 13.2 years, waiting phase generated exposures.
